U.S. Stock Market Holidays
U.S. Stock Market Holidays
The U.S. stock exchanges, including the NYSE and NASDAQ, observe several official holidays each year. On these regular holidays, such as New Yearโs Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, the markets remain closed for the entire day.
In addition, there are early closure days, when trading ends at 1:00 p.m. Eastern Time. These typically occur on the day before Independence Day, the Friday following Thanksgiving (known as Black Friday), and Christmas Eve.
